Description

Higher Dunscombe Cottage is an 18th century or earlier cottage, with alterations made in the 20th century. It is built of colourwashed rendered stone rubble, believed to be faced on cob inner walls, and has a thatched roof with hipped ends. There are two rear lateral stacks, one projecting. The original plan likely comprised two rooms, although internal partitions are said to have been altered. The exterior displays an asymmetrical four-window front, with an approximately central thatched porch. The windows are 2-light timber casements with glazing bars. The interior has not been inspected.
