Description
This milestone, located about 1,865 metres southeast of the junction with Ashburton Road, dates from the early to mid 19th century. It is made from granite and consists of a single piece of stone that is oblong in shape with a rounded top. The front features an inscription carved into three sections, which are separated by horizontal incised lines. The lettering is somewhat weathered and has been highlighted in black paint, though some of the paint has worn off.
