Description
The United Reformed Church, built around the 1870s, features a whitewashed and rendered exterior with a slate roof that is gabled at both ends. The building has a rectangular layout, with the ritual west end facing the street and one window on the side elevation. It is designed in an eclectic Gothic style. The front elevation showcases rusticated chamfered quions and a central gabled porch that includes a two-centred outer doorway, which has an architrave painted in a contrasting color. On either side of the porch are two-centred arched windows, also with painted architraves, high transoms, and arched glazing bars above the transom. Above the porch is a central rose window set in a round-headed recess, featuring spoke glazing bars, an arched hoodmould with carved label stops, and a sill with carved ends. In front of the west end, there is a low stone rubble wall topped with iron railings that have spearhead finials and a gate.
