Description
This early 19th century house is located on The Parade in Chudleigh. It is likely constructed of colourwashed and rendered stone rubble, with a slate roof featuring gabled ends and two stacks at each end. The house follows a double-depth, four-room plan, with a central entrance leading to a passage containing the staircase. The symmetrical three-bay front has deep eaves and a central Tuscan porch with a half-glazed front door. The first floor features sash windows; a 16-pane sash window to each bow on the left and right, and a 12-pane sash window in the centre. Tall curved walls adjoin the front elevation, concealing lean-to extensions, and each contains a round-headed niche. The interior of the house has not been inspected. The property has group value with The Cottage and Coburg Cottage.
