Description

This is an early 19th-century milestone located 130 meters north of Harcombe Cross Petrol Station. It was erected by the Exeter Turnpike Trust. The milestone is made of granite and features a rounded-arch top. On the west, or roadside, face, it has the inscription ‘VIII/ MILES/ FROM/ EXON’.
