Description
The stable block at Hamlyns dates from the late 18th century to the early 19th century. It is constructed from local grey limestone rubble and features a tiled roof that is gabled at both ends. The building includes a stable with a loft above. There are three round-headed stable doorways, each with ashlar dressings and timber doors fitted with strap hinges. Additionally, there is one loft loading door, also with ashlar dressings and a timber door with strap hinges. This attractive stable block is part of a group that includes a thatched cider house.
