Description

This is a lime kiln dating from the early 19th century, constructed from limestone rubble with a dressed stone arch. It features a large open-fronted chamber built into the bank, with a flue at the rear that is partially filled in. The kiln has a segmental stone arched opening and is flanked by large raking buttresses on either side. Inside, there is a stone corbelled roof.
