Description

This is a 17th century or earlier threshing barn located immediately to the north of Dandylands. It is constructed of cob on stone rubble footings and features a thatched roof that is hipped at both ends. The barn has large opposed doorways and a single-storey outshut on the west side. Notable features include a large entrance on the east side, a timber mullioned window in the north gable end, and a chamfered doorway on the west side. This attractive early thatched barn forms a group with a 17th century house.
