SX 97 NW DAWLISH ALLER 2/129 Remains of Lidwell Chapel 17.7.51 situated about ¼ mile from Lidwell Farm across Chapel Field

Mediaeval ruins of a Chapel dedicated to St Mary. An ancient well is sup- posed to exist here. Stone rubble. The west wall is still standing but foundations only of the other walls remain. Red sandstone arch to west door and window opening over.
