Description

The remains of Lidwell Chapel, dedicated to St Mary, are medieval ruins located about a quarter mile from Lidwell Farm across Chapel Field. The structure is built of stone rubble, with the west wall still standing, while only the foundations of the other walls remain. There is a red sandstone arch above the west door and a window opening above it. An ancient well is believed to be located nearby.
