Description

The Old Toll House, built around 1823, is a very small stone shelter located on the roadside, partially built into the earth bank. Only the front is visible, which is made of red sandstone ashlar and features a pointed or round-arched doorway, although the voussoirs have suffered significant weathering. Inside, the walls are lined with stone and the roof is vaulted. This structure once served as a toll gate.
