Description

A pair of houses with shops, dating from the early 19th century, located in Teignmouth. The houses are constructed of painted stucco with a painted freestone coping to the parapet and a platband. They have a hipped slate roof with rendered stacks on the sides. The houses feature a double-depth plan.

The exterior has two storeys and a three-window front. A central doorcase, added in the 20th century, features panelled detailing above and consoles supporting a cornice. A 6/6-pane sash window sits above the door. Curved bays flank the first-floor sash windows, which have curved frames and 10/10-pane glazing. A wide shop front, dating to the late 19th century, extends across the ground floor. The left bay is canted and has three plate-glass panes with shaped glazing bars; the right bay is a 20th-century replacement.

The interior has not been inspected.
