Description
Tunis is a cottage built around the mid-19th century, which has been remodeled from an earlier cottage, likely also from the 19th century. The structure is made of roughcast stone rubble and features an asbestos tile roof with gabled ends. There is an abutting stack on the right-hand gable end, which has slate weathering and a tapered cap, heightened in red brick. The cottage has a two-room plan with a central entrance, and the right-hand room is heated by a large gable end stack. The exterior is two storeys high with a symmetrical east front that has two windows. The windows are tall, late 19th century or 20th century two-light casements, each with two panes per light. The central doorway features a late 19th century panelled and glazed door, topped by a simple wooden lattice gabled porch. The rear elevation has not been inspected, and the interior has also not been inspected.
