Description

South Place comprises Nos. 1 to 4, an early to mid-19th century stucco terrace of two-window houses, each arranged over two storeys and with attics. Each house features a round-headed doorway with plain reveals and a fanlight above. Incised decoration defines the pilasters. The first-floor windows are sash windows with glazing bars, while the ground-floor windows have been largely altered. Hipped sash dormers light the attic space. These houses, together with Leighton House, the Conservative Club, Pindar Lodge, and Nos. 1 and 2 Victoria Place, form a group in an important location.
