Description
This milestone, located about 80 metres west of Sandwell Cottage, dates from the early 19th century. It is made of white painted granite and has a square shape, set diagonally to the road. The back is roughly hewn, while the two sides facing the road are dressed and feature rounded tops. The front faces have black painted letters carved in lower case with serifs, indicating the distances: "To Plymth 19 miles. To Totnes 3 miles".
