Description

This is a milestone located on the Main Road opposite Milestone Cottage in Exminster, likely dating from the early 19th century. It is made of granite and features a segmental arched base topped with a granite post. The base is painted with the inscription "180 miles to London," while the east face of the post indicates "8 miles to Dawlish" and "4 miles to Exeter," with the inscriptions reversed on the west side.
