Description

The bridge over Bidwell Brook is a footbridge dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed of slate stone rubble with rendered capping on the parapets. This small two-span footbridge is situated at the side of a ford and crosses a stream. It features very shallow cambered arches made with slate voussoirs. On the upstream side, there is a very small cutwater on the pier. The parapets are intact and have rendered capping, except for the south end of the east parapet, which is topped with large slate coping stones.
