Description
This is a bank barn, probably built in the early 19th century, located immediately east of Higher Cobberton Farmhouse in Dartington, Tigley. The structure is made of local stone rubble and features a hipped roof covered in corrugated iron. It has a long rectangular plan, with a shippon on the ground floor and a barn above, accessible from the rear at the left end where the ground is higher.
The barn stands two storeys tall. On the ground floor, there are three doorways and one window positioned to the right of the centre, all featuring cambered stone arches. The first floor has blocked doorways on both the right and left sides, also with cambered arches, along with two ventilation slits. Additional ventilation slits are present in the end walls. There is a wide barn doorway at the rear on the first floor, situated to the right where the ground level is higher. The interior has not been inspected.
