Description

The remains of a wayside cross, likely dating from the Medieval period, are located at Browney Cross in Shaugh Prior. The structure is made from roughly hewn granite. A pile of stones represents the remnants of the shaft and base of the cross, which is believed to mark the route of an ancient track that connected Plympton Priory to Sampford Spiney.
