Description

Middle Manor is a detached house dating from the 18th century. The name is potentially misleading, as the building appears to have originated as two or three cottages. It has a rendered exterior and a slate roof. The house is two storeys high and has five windows. Most windows are 2-light casements with glazing bars. At ground floor level, there is a 2-light window, a 20th-century glazed door, and a 3-light window. Two ground floor doorways have slate hoods. The first floor windows are generally 2-light, with the exception of a 3-light window on the right-hand side; the first three first-floor windows have horizontal glazing bars only. A low gable stack is located to the right, and a hip stack is on the left. The unit to the left of the stack may be an addition or a former outbuilding. The right gable includes a small stair window. The rear of the house features three small casements. The interior contains some 18th-century features, including a wooden spiral stair located at the right end.
