Description
Little End, located at 39 to 41 Fore Street, is a building believed to date from 1789. It is constructed of stucco, with No 41 being lined and painted. The building has two storeys and features sash windows, some of which still have glazing bars. No 41 and Little End both have fanlights, and there is a brown brick stack situated between Nos 40 and 41. Little End has a shaped gable that has been altered on the south side. There is a blank window between Nos 39 and 40 on the first floor. No 41 displays a sun fire insurance plate, while the interior of No 39 includes 18th-century doors and a dado rail. Nos 39 to 41, along with The Ferry, Orestone Steps, Ferry Cottage, and Old Watch House, form a group of buildings.
