It is a two-storey building, featuring near-flush frame sash windows with glazing bars on both floors. The front of the cottage has a four-panel door. Shaped brackets remain indicating a hood over the left cottage, while a flat hood supported by iron brackets is present over the right cottage, which is painted a plaster colour. The building is constructed of stone and has been painted. Ferry Cottage is part of a group of buildings that includes The Ferry Inn, the Old Watch House, and numbers 39 to 41, and Little End, Fore Street.
