Description
The Ferry Inn is a building likely dating from the 18th century and has been altered over time. It stands two storeys tall and features stippled plaster on its exterior, which is painted. On the first floor, there is a casement window on the left and a boat doorway framed with an 18th-century door frame. In the center of the first floor, there is a square canted bay above a six-panel door, with another casement window to the right. The east face of the building, which faces the sea, is four storeys high and has five windows with glazing bars on the top storey. The stone face includes modern multi-light casements, while the lower floors on the left have casements with red brick flat arches. The Ferry Inn, along with Orestone Steps, Ferry Cottage, and the Old Watch House, forms a group with Nos 39 to 41 (consecutive) and Little End on Fore Street.
