Description

STOKE FLEMING SX84NE Stables about 15 metres 6/135 North East of Riverbridge Farmhouse GV II

Stables with loft above. Circa early to mid C19. Local slate rubble. Hipped scantle slate roof. Plan: Rectangular on plan. Stables on ground floor with a central entrance on the south front and a loft above with a doorway at the left (west) end and another doorway at the back where the ground level is higher. Exterior: 2 storeys. Symmetrical 3-bay south front. 2 small window open- ings on the ground and first floor to left and right with timber lintels, the first floor left hand window has been blocked. Central doorway also with a timber lintel and a C20 boarded door. The left hand (west) end has a doorway on both floors with C20 boarded doors. The rear (north) elevation has a wide doorway to the left with access from the higher ground level. Interior not inspected.
