Description

This farm building, located approximately 20 meters to the northeast of Longbrook Farmhouse, dates from the late 17th century or early 18th century and may have originally served as a stable. The structure features roughly coursed slatestone rubble walls and a thatch roof, which has a layer of corrugated iron on top. The roof is half-hipped at the left end and hipped at the right. The building has a rectangular plan and was originally divided into two parts, each with its own external access. It is two storeys high, with a doorway to the left of the center and another doorway that has been blocked to the right, accompanied by a window to the left of each doorway. There is a stone dripcourse above the right-hand window and a loading hatch on the first floor to the right of the center. The interior has not been inspected.
