Bank Barn Immediately South West Of Beenleigh Farmhouse

This is a bank barn dating from the early 19th century, located immediately southwest of Beenleigh farmhouse in Diptford. The barn is constructed from slate rubble and features a corrugated iron roof with gabled ends. It has a rectangular shape and includes a lean-to on the front right side, though the purpose of this lean-to is uncertain as the interior was not inspected.

The barn is two storeys high, with four shippon doorways on the ground floor that have red brick segmental arches, along with ventilation slits positioned between the doorways. Above, there is a hay barn with access from the higher ground at the back. The first floor has a central loft loading doorway fitted with plank doors and a canopy above, also flashed by ventilation slits. The roof over the right-hand end extends down at the front to cover the two-storey lean-to, which appears to be a later addition. The interior has not been inspected.
