Description

Shindle Millhouse, likely dating from the 18th century, is a two-story stone building situated west of Shindle Mill. The first floor has three flush frame sash windows; the ground floor now features casement windows. An added trellis porch fronts a six-panel door. A hall, approximately 8 feet high, extends along the road side and is constructed of narrow coursed stone with vertical cope stones. Shindle Millhouse forms a group with the nearby Mill, Barn and Outbuildings to the south, contributing to the landscape value of the area.
