Description

The walls of the churchyard of St Thomas a Becket's Church are likely from the 18th century and stand 12 feet high. They are made of narrow coursed stone and partly serve as a retaining wall. The walls are located on the northwest, northeast, and south sides of the churchyard. There is a pair of large piers at a pedestrian gate, featuring moulded monoliths that support Gothic tracery caps, which are probably re-used from the medieval period.
