Description

High House is a farmhouse overlooking Bowcombe Creek, with parts dating from the 16th century or early 17th century. The back wing features several windows with stopped ovolo wood lintels, and one window has a label mould. The building is two storeys high, with an 18th-century front on the east side that has five windows. The exterior is constructed of stone with stucco, which is peeling in some areas, and includes late 18th-century sash windows with glazing bars. Inside, the rear wing has hewn chamfered beams and a massive chimney breast.
