Description

This is a late 18th century house, situated on North Street, with its front facade aligned with the Town Hall. It is a double-fronted building with three windows. The roof is hipped and covered with Welsh slate, featuring a red brick stack. The front of the house is cement rendered, with plain wooden eaves and a decorative band running at the first-floor level. It has recessed sash windows with glazing bars, and the outer bays of first-floor windows are formed into low, flat-headed dormers. A recessed doorway leads to panelled doors, accessed by steps. A half-glazed doorway is located at the south-west end, with margin lights. At the rear, a blocked opening is visible in a rubble wall, and a re-used moulded ceiling beam serves as the lintol.
