Description

Avery headstone, located approximately 20 metres west of the west tower of the Church of St James, dates from 1794. It is made of slate and features a straight head. The top corners are adorned with winged angel busts. The inscription commemorates John Avery Junior, who died in 1794, and there is a verse at the base.
