Description

The Skinner headstone, located approximately 16 metres south-west of the south-west tower of the south aisle of the Church of St James, dates from 1820. It is made of slate and features a shaped head with an ornamented urn in bold relief at the top. The inscription commemorates John Skinner, a yeoman who died in 1820.
