Description
The lodge on the entrance driveway to Bradford Tracey House is an early 19th century structure. It is built from colourwashed rubble and features a gabled roof adorned with fretwork bargeboards. The central brick stack is rebuilt and set diagonally. The lodge has a T-shaped plan, consisting of a single build. The foot of the T has canted corners and a porch with the principal door opening, which leads into the main room. Behind this room are two additional rooms located in the arms of the T, and there is a basement with a service room that has access at a lower level at the back.
The exterior showcases various window openings with canted corners at the heads, simple two-light casements, and one square-headed window with diamond-paned lights. The porch features a pointed-arch outer door opening with a half-glazed door, and the inner door is a six-panelled design. Each side of the porch has a small quatrefoil. The interior has not been seen, but the lodge is noted for its interesting romantic style.
