Description
North Lodge is a former lodge to Bradford Tracey House. It features a rubble core that is roughcast and whitewashed, topped with a hipped thatched roof and a central brick stack on the ridge. The building has a three-room L-shaped plan. The main room on the right has a direct entry through a doorway at the right end and an axial stack at the left end. The smaller room on the left and a small room behind in the wing contain service rooms in the basement below. In the 20th century, a single-storey extension was added in the angle of the L. The lodge is one storey high with a basement and has 2-light casements with glazing bars. There is a door opening to the right, featuring a plank door and a small slated porch. This picturesque lodge is likely associated with Bradford Tracey House and its gate-lodge.
