Description

Rosebarn Cottage and Huish Cottage are two cottages, originally a cottage with a barn converted into a second dwelling (now Huish Cottage) and attached. The buildings date from the 18th century. They are constructed of rubble and cob, with a continuous hipped thatched roof. A brick stack is located at the right-hand end, and another is on the central axis. Rosebarn Cottage has two eyebrow dormers with 20th-century casement windows. The upper end of Rosebarn Cottage features a set-off doorway with a small two-light, eight-pane casement window with deep reveals to the left, and a 20th-century French window to the right. A 20th-century lean-to has been added to the right side. Huish Cottage has three irregularly spaced windows with two and four panes, over four similar openings, all with inserted 20th-century casements and brick lintels. The entrance to Huish Cottage is to the rear.
