Description
Bicknor Bridge, located in North Molton, is a bridge that likely dates back to the early 17th century, with some alterations made in the late 20th century. It is constructed from coursed stone rubble, featuring dressed stone voussoirs and cutwaters, as well as some dressed stone on the abutments. The bridge has a shallow humped-back design and consists of two round arches, with triangular cutwaters on each pier. The abutments are curved, and the original parapet has been replaced by railings from the late 20th century. This bridge carries the lane between North Molton and Bicknor Farm, which is located in the neighboring parish, across the River Mole, marking the boundary between the two parishes.
