Description

This bank barn, built around 1860, is located approximately 15 meters north of Loverings in Newton Tracey. Constructed from stone rubble with brick dressings, it features a slate roof with gable ends and has a rectangular shape. The barn is two storeys high, with access to the first floor at the rear. The front of the barn has a large winnowing door, which has been infilled, situated above three doorways that lead to the shippon or stables. The doorway on the right end includes a small window to its left. At the rear, there are double plank doors. All openings are topped with slightly cambered brick arches. This barn is included for its group value.
