Description

No. 96 Newport Road is a house dating from the early 19th century. It features solid rendered walls and a slated roof, with a red brick chimney on each end wall, which may be shared with the adjacent houses. The building is two storeys high and has a three-window range with a central doorway. The entrance includes a six-panelled door adorned with a wreath-knocker, and it is supported by attached Tuscan columns that hold up an entablature. The windows are fitted with 8-paned sashes, except for the narrower window above the door, which has 6-paned sashes. The interior has not been inspected.
