Description

The Ayre headstone, located approximately 7 metres south of the west tower of the Church of St James, is a twin headstone from the mid-19th century, created by Follard. It features a straight-headed design with twin incised semi-circular headed arches. The inscriptions commemorate Mary Ayre, who died in 1854, and her husband, who died in 1878.
