Description

The bank barn located 15 metres south of Shortacombe Farmhouse dates from the late 18th century. It is constructed of slate rubble and features a slate roof. The barn has five segmented-arched openings for the shippon, with the right-hand arch being partially blocked. At the first floor level, there are two winnowing doors that have slate canopies supported by timber brackets. The right-hand end of the barn includes two segmented-arch openings and two barn doors at a higher rear ground level, one of which is blocked while the other has a slate canopy.
