Description
Parminters is a house with adjoining stables and a store, now used as an outbuilding, located on the south side of St Mary's Road in Croyde. The house dates from the 17th century, while the stables and store are likely from the early 19th century. The house is constructed of rubble with cob above and has a rendered upper storey. It features an asbestos tile or slate roof with 19th-century crested ridge tiles, an axial brick stack, and a brick stack at the right gable end. The building has a three-cell plan and is two storeys high. The front has a three-window range of horizontal sliding sashes, each with six panes, above similar sashes. There is an off-centre doorway with a gabled hood that has a tiled roof and a 20th-century door. The interior has been significantly altered. The outbuilding at the right end has a slate roof with gable ends, double plank doors on the left side, and a square opening at the gable end facing the street. This property is included for its group value.
