Description
The Church Room or Sunday School, dating from around 1800, is located in the churchyard, 20 metres north of the parish church. It is constructed of rubble stone and features a raised slate roof with tile ridge crestings. The building is two storeys high and consists of a single room above stables or a sexton's room.
The central entrance has a pointed-arch doorway, flanked by deep narrow pointed niches on either side. The first-floor chamber includes a tripartite Gothic window with lead diamond panes set in Gothic timber frames, complete with casements. There are blind loops on each side of the window. A flight of stone steps on the right leads to two doorways: one at the top accesses a rear outshut, while the left doorway leads to the chamber, which has a contemporary four-panelled door.
