Description
The Methodist Church, built in 1810 with a mid-19th century school room, features a combination of stucco and coursed limestone rubble, topped with Welsh slate roofs. This two-storey church has a single-storey school room on the west side and a minister's room on the east. The front facade showcases a three-window arrangement, with 16-pane sash windows on the ground floor and 12-pane sash windows above, all framed by moulded architraves. The central entrance consists of a round-arched doorway, also with moulded architraves and impost blocks, leading to plank doors topped by a simple fanlight. The corners of the building are accentuated by attenuated Tuscan pilasters, which are repeated on the side walls. The church has a hipped roof. To the left, the school room features two-light mullioned casements, while the minister's room on the right has a 16-pane sash window, a four-panel door, and a rectangular light above. The rear of the church includes tall 18-pane sashes set at a high level. Inside, the church is simple, with a balcony at the south end and a plain glazed stair lobby.
