Description
This is a barn with attached stables, located approximately 15 metres south of North Hole Farmhouse, likely built in the 18th century. The structure is made of whitewashed rubble and cob, topped with a slate roof featuring gable ends. It has nine bays, with lofts at both ends; the right end includes a lath and plaster partition that closes off the last two bays. There is a loft door situated between a plank door on the left, which is set under a timber lintel, and high double plank doors in the centre, supported by slightly projecting rubble piers that carry a porch canopy. Ventilators are present on each side, and there is a smaller opposing plank door at the rear. A stable door is located at the right-hand end. The barn features one early truss with a side-pegged collar. This building is included for its group value.
