Description
17 Pilton Street is a house that likely dates from the late 18th century. It features a painted brick front in Flemish bond and has a slated roof. There are old red brick chimneys on each gable end, with the upper courses stepped to create tapered caps. The house is two storeys high and has a three-window range. The central doorway is flanked by panelled pilasters and an entablature, with a door that has six ovolo-moulded panels and a patterned fanlight above. The windows have segmental gauged brick arches and barred sashes set in moulded box-frames, with eight over eight panes on the ground storey and six over six panes on the upper storey. A small boxed eaves cornice completes the exterior. The interior has not been inspected.
