Description

This barn, located approximately 30 metres east of Kennacott Farmhouse, dates from the late 18th century or early 19th century. It is constructed of stone rubble and cob, topped with a corrugated iron roof that features gable ends. The barn has a rectangular shape and includes two shippon outshuts on the courtyard side. The left outshut has a slate roof and a splayed corner at the lower end, while the right outshut has a corrugated iron roof. Inside, the barn contains six roughly hewn trusses with side-pegged collars. It forms a cohesive group with the granary and stables that have a loft above, all surrounding a cobbled courtyard.
