Description
The stables with a loft over, located approximately 30 metres south-east of Kennacott Farmhouse, date from the early 19th century. They are constructed of stone rubble with some cob and feature a half-hipped corrugated iron roof. The building is rectangular in shape and has two storeys. Each end of the stables has two wide openings that extend through both storeys. At the left end, the original double doors have been removed and replaced with horizontal boarding in the upper storey, while the right end retains double plank doors for both storeys. These stables are part of a cohesive group with a granary and barn surrounding a cobbled courtyard, which adds to their significance.
