Description
The kitchen garden walls, greenhouse, and tool shed located approximately 200 metres east of Tapeley Park House are notable structures. The garden walls and tool shed likely date from the 18th century, while the greenhouse is an early 20th-century addition. The garden walls feature brick in English bond on the east side and stone rubble on the other three sides. The tool shed has a thatched roof and a brick stack at the corner. The greenhouse is an early example of prefabricated concrete and glass, with curved concrete ribs. The garden walls enclose a rectangular kitchen garden, with the greenhouse running along the length of the north wall and the tool shed positioned at the north-east corner. The garden walls include buttresses at intervals, with brick capping on the east wall and pantiled capping on the west wall. The tool shed has a curved outer wall and a plank door providing access to the garden from the east wall.
