Description

A pair of houses, likely built in the early 19th century and remodelled around the 1860s. They are constructed with mass walls, faced with stucco, and have a pantile roof with gabled ends. The building features a stack on the left end and a rear left stack with an old brick shaft, as well as cast-iron rainwater goods. Number 28 has a wide entrance passage to the front, including a staircase and heated rooms arranged one behind the other, with a small rear left extension.

Externally, the houses present a three-window asymmetrical front, with number 30 being significantly smaller. A paired pilastered doorcase is centrally located on the right side, featuring capitals carved with lion's heads and a dentil frieze beneath a cornice. The front doors are four-panelled, with fielded upper panels and flush lower panels, each with an overlight. The windows have segmental-headed rusticated stucco arches with keyblocks featuring an acanthus leaf in relief and moulded sill brackets. The windows are fitted with four-pane horned sashes. Dormer windows, added around 1910, have bargeboards and casement windows with two small panes over one.

Inside number 28, the staircase dates to around 1900 and features turned balusters. The joinery includes four-panel doors.
