Description

The Queen's Head at Number 20 is a public house and house dating to around 1850, built as a single structure. It is constructed with roughcast mass wall construction and has a natural slate roof with gabled ends. There are two stacks: one at the left end and another axial stack, both with rendered shafts and platbands, alongside cast-iron rainwater goods. The building is symmetrical in plan, consisting of two rooms wide and two rooms deep on the public house side, with a central entrance. The house section to the right is double-depth and one room wide, with a doorway on its right side.

The front of the building has two storeys and a basement, featuring a 3:1 window arrangement. Deep, boxed eaves are supported by paired moulded brackets. Both the public house and house sections have 20th-century half-glazed doors. Ground-floor windows are tall and transomed with glazing bars. First-floor windows are 16-pane hornless sash windows; the public house has a blind recess in the centre, featuring a keyblock. The interior has not been inspected but may retain original features.
