Description
This is a house, dating to around 1820, now used as offices. It is constructed of Flemish bond brick, painted white, with a turnerised slate roof, gabled at the ends. The roof features end stacks with brick shafts, including one with a tall, tapering terracotta pot. The building has a double-depth plan, arranged with two rooms across a central entrance.
The symmetrical three-bay front has deep eaves supported by moulded brackets and an eaves board. A timber doorcase features pilasters and a cornice that projects forward over the pilasters. The front door is a four-panel door from the 19th century, accompanied by a bootscraper. Original 19th-century 16-pane hornless sash windows are present throughout, with the exception of a 12-pane sash above the front door and a ground floor window on the left-hand side, which has been reglazed with a single fixed pane. The interior has not been inspected but may contain features of interest.
